What to check in the result before you send it

The conversion succeeding and the file being fit to send are different facts. Here is the list, in the order that catches the most problems soonest.

Does it open on its own? Double-click the downloaded file. If you get styled, readable text at a sensible measure, it is a document. If you get black Times New Roman running the full width of the window, you were handed a fragment. You can confirm which by opening the file in a text editor and looking at the first line: a document starts with <!doctype html> and has a <head> with a <style> block or a stylesheet link in it.

Does it survive the network being off? Turn off Wi-Fi, then open the file again in a fresh tab. A self-contained export looks identical. Or paste them in order. If you would rather not touch a terminal at all, open each file in a text editor and paste them one after another into the converter's input, with a blank line between each. It is tedious past about five files and perfectly reliable below that.
